My friend had the bad idea to tell me to try the rubber tyres on my T3R (just a "bit" modified) so I changed a lot in my car from the foam tyres setup.
Our track is a bit small, tarmac surface with some hairpin curves.
Today I made some modifications using also the T3R Setup Sheet for rubber, but I've just some problems in the closest curves. Before I had some problems with the rear that can't follow the front so quickly I need. Now sometimes the rear has too much traction in the end of the hairpin curves or, sometimes in the middle of chichanes. If somebody has some suggestions...
The first problem is the driver... And I'm working on it...
I know that it's difficult to understand the setup without the car, But I'll try to explane.
- Exotek carbon chassis
- Spec-R front and rear differentials (tomorrow should arrive x-ray's differentials). I can't use the ball bearing (I'ts broken and I'm waiting the parts) in the rear transmission, but I feel more easy to drive with gear one (when I used the foam tyres). In front I had some problem with the solid axle in the hairpins, but with the differential I had no so much problem.
I used 1.000.000 grease in front (before I tried also with 500.000 but hot with all today's modifications) and 1.000 in rear one. I'd like to try the 500 with the x-ray's gear differential (it shouldn't leak like spec-r).
- T3 2011 shocks, with 3 1.1 holes in piston in front and 3 1.2 holes in back pistons. Oil 400, blu springs in front and white in back. At the moment I fixed in the 3rd hole of the shocks' horns.
- Front ride heigh 6, back 6.5 (I was thinking to put it down 1mm for both). Downstop... Boh... I must check it, but If I can remember it should be 6 front and 5 rear
- I have also "H" quick roll centers, used like the set-up sheet.
- All other "parameters" (ackermann, camber, caster, etc) are like in the setup sheet
- Tyres MuchMore 35 complete with the insert.
- MazdaSpeed 6
If you need some other informations...
