Ooh a question that is likley to throw up many different answers!!

IMHO

5000 capacity is more than enough assuming you are running 5 minute races
40c is more than enough. Do the maths and see how many amps you would have to draw to need a 60c/70c/80c/90c/100c Lipo

The chances of finding a Lipo with such a "low" specification in the shops now is low. Try EBAY or spend the exhorbitant amount of money be asked for one of these new high spec Lipos - TC racing with stock motors does not need them.

Hello,

previously I ran 4000mAh 30C from SLS that was way enough for boost and 10.5T stock spec. CS-Electronic has fantastic LiPo batteries at very great prices!

http://www.cs-shop.de/Lipo+7-4V+4000mAh ... +2011-.htm
http://www.cs-shop.de/Lipo+7-4V+5400mAh ... +2011-.htm

I now have the 5400mAh 50C packs and run that same 10.5T stock spec motor (with the ESC programmed to make it run like a boosted 17.5T stock spec motor for training with others) for slightly over 40(!) minutes until it turns off. With the modified 6.5T motor and hard timing I still run something between 12 and 13 minutes. Further they are very lightweight and have the 4mm outlets slightly inside for best clearance with the cables and the topdeck. I've charged them now about 20 times and they have 0.002-3V difference yet which is brilliant I think.

Regards,
Stefan

Yes, the discharge rate is just important for modified motors.

With "cheating" I mean not really cheating in a bad way but in a funny way. Team Orion lables their LiPo batteries with the 10 seconds max. C-rate on. These can't provide 90C constantly (as none could I guess). But as said no problem. They sure are great batteries but too expensive compared to what other well known brands deliver. Same for LRP IMHO.

but there is 90C in table with "charge rate" so they cant lie
it has to be 90C

i think that 10sec is enough for straight with full trothle, for acceleration, corner exit and etc

in pro stock in Andernach they were taking straight in 4-5s
in Modified in Andernach it was about 2,5-3s

Yes, 10 seconds are easily enough. But it's just out of interest for me now. I think that out of speedo, battery and motor the right speedo setup along with the right motor gearing are the most important things on getting fast whilst staying cool.

but what gives energy?
battery!
so,if you have more power you will be faster!

people on world can make everything, but some things have certain needs, such as energy

Sure, that's right. A better battery can provide more power. But do you need more power out of a battery than the absolutely best speedo can handle? I mean anything starting from 400A for 10 seconds is enough, really. But I don't want to make your decission at all. It's up to you!

ok ok
but, when you are driving you dont know really how much your speedo is taking power(energy) from battery

Again,Thanks guys!
