I havent used sweep but find Much-More Absolutes are very good.
Still prefer Sorex's though. Seem to have a little bit more grip at the same temp rating.

Hi,

we are using them and like them a lot.

They have great performance for many runs. Maybe slightly slower compared to Sorex on first round but faster on the rest rounds. If you have limited number of tire sets you can use then give them a try, you wont be disappointed!

You should compare Sweep 36 with Ride 36 not Sweep 30 and Ride 36 ;)

There is also the EXP+ 36 which is for higher temps :)

Neither tire is bad anyway :)

but to say you are fast on sorex but to not have tried other makes of tyres is a bit foolish , i buy various tyres from a lot of manufaturers and decide which is best for which track/temp range

Indoor i ALWAYS use Sorex28's but outdoors i will use CS27's , Sorex32's 36's and sometimes the Sorex28's , I used last year a lot of the Sweep EXP, these are a great wheel/tyre combo but the tyres get overheated , never tried 36's though , this year we have used the Ride36 tyres and i have to say i have sey my fastest lap at my home track Apeldoorn (ETS round 5 track) with the ride tyres and i have used CS27 and Sorex32's

my advice is buy various types and try them

FYI ..

To generate maximum grip, tires require a certain amount of slip angle. Different tires require different amounts of slip angle based on the load and type of the tire. Adjusting Ackerman, Front Toe-Out and Rear Toe-In will adjust the slip angle of the tires. When you test, you should take this into account and not just slap on a pair of tires and make a quick judgement. You should adjust the setup when needed.

If you are looking for a good carpet tire, try Solaris Mediums, they provide good traction, good wear and a good price ($25US). We run them as the spec tire for my track. I also hear the Solaris Hards are great for asphalt. Also, if you do try them, they require a couple more runs than some others to get dialed-in.

IMO Sorex are overpriced.

i bought the Sweep32's they were pre build with i think pink inserts , i never tried the 36's , the Ride36's are available from ToniSport

I have to say we are using the Sorex32's for out national championship and they are ok , but i was still quicker with the Rides on the ETS weekend as i was running the Sorex till the Rides were available to us
