Hello @ all,

to be honest, I´m struggling with the 36R tire quality this year, which I got directly from a Hong Kong store.

during mountig I saw, that they are thinner and softer as the series of last year.
my last year tires were able to run 10-13 (more than 100 minutes) runs of stock class (13,5T with boost).
For me it is unacceptable- the tire wear is 400% more than the last year tires....................
After 3 runs the front outer tire was gone -see attachments
The grip was very good but after FIRST run The front outer tire was grinding!!
My tire forcast for this year was based on the Sorex 36R tires wear from last year.
This actually reached tire wear is NOT in my budget of using this tires with this quality.

BTW. all other Sorex tires 32R, 40R (also from last year) which are used from me have the same wearness. (over 100minutes splitted in 8-10 minute runs.)

add.
Ask Marc Reinhard, who was invited at our first austrian championchip race.
He gets tires from germany-dealer and he was NOT ABLE to run in a good way with the tires, because after 70min heating with different tire additives they work like plastik!!!- NO grip- Many racers had the same fate!!!

Do you have same experience with the tire quality????

best regards
Harald

We only use the Sorex 32R with Yellow Insert (BRCA national tyre) and they have been fine.
I have a set with 8 runs which are still OK.

Could be an insert issue?

Hello Andrew,

sorry sir, it is not an insert issue.
I used and will use the allowed inserts from GM Sorex 36R green (4) (No.96334.36) DMC legal, which is the local legal allowed austrian tire set.

Hopefully this week I will get the new tires from HK, they changed it, I sent all the sealed tires back.

(btw. the second of the 3 sets of tires working like the first set- after first run the front outer tire was grinding) we assume, that there is the wrong stamp on the tire (it shows 36R), maybe it is a 20R or 24R tire or something, but....... it is really too soft and the wear is amazing fast.....

My brother ordered some 36R and 28R from germany, lets have a look what is going on with these tires.

best regards
Harald
