i would bleed some out by unscrewing the top by 2 or 3 turns then push the piston in till there is 3mm of the shaft showing

this is how i build mine , do you use the foam on the top of the bladder ?? if so try it without 8) 8)

Hi guys, I am not convinced this is caused by too much oil.

I read Stanley's post as saying he can push the piston in, but that it stays there and does not come out - ie 0% rebound.

In my experience if there was too much oil, he would not be able to push the piston in and would have to bleed a small amount of oil out.

But I cannot help beyond that; loosening the cap a little bit so that the piston does come out is not something I have ever done and I am not sure what is going on there.

I may be wrong Sidecarphil- but I wanted to put another point of view in to generate some debate and an appropriate answer!

ooops yeah now i read it propperly

i think your right Yellowshark

maybe you have not enough oil in the shock , can you hear a sloshing noise (air in the oil) ??

i usually build my shocks dead too ( so you push them in and they dont come out) but this is hard with Xray shocks , i have TRF bladders and a 1mm hole drilled in the plastic cap

i will do a video over the weekend and post it on here for all to watch

Sorry for the bad advice before haha

If no pressure you might want to replace the o-rings and the rubber membrane.

If too much pressure remember to take your time when bleeding the shock and always use fresh membranes inside.
