Hi,

Looking at you set up sheet, do you get more grip through the corners with ECS drive shafts ? as I've put the standard one's back in mine ony because my ECS ones really need rebuilding as they have loads of play  but now my car does push alot, thought it might of been because I had gone harder springs on the front ?Thanks.

Thanks.

Hi Saw,

I tested with both the standard and ECS driveshafts at the West London BTCC meeting...

I found the std shafts gave more initial steering (while braking/entering) but would start to push on power mid corner and run wide out the corners... Therefore I went to a softer front spring which gave me some of the mid corner steering back. (HPI Blue front and rear)

I found the ECS shafts to be the smoother option, slightly less steering entering the corner but gave more midcorner steering and cornerspeed. I gained the entry steering by using a little more drag brake and ran a harder front spring. (HPI Silver front, Blue rear)

I didnt see a huge difference in laptime, but felt the ECS suited my driving style better and helped me to drive more consistantly.

Hope this helps,

Phil Chambers.
