as far as the lid pull, i like a big loop, 2 fingers on the shock tower and a thumb in the loop makes it real easy and fast.. i think its easier than grabbing what you have.

Slim, can you show me a closeup picture of how you do the 'loop' at the lid with a ziptie? please. I wondered how to do that myself and am not sure the common way to weave the ziptie in the lid of the tank. thanks

I have seen an even cleaner method of a loop, i will try to take a pic of mine to show you all.

florianlaux - Very interesting approach, what did you attach the clips on the front brace with (CA or Epoxy?). Now just get your filter lined up and it is a party :) I may give this a shot in the future, I like the approach a lot.

I used to use loops but when flipped over I had them open the tank a few times, so I went back to the straight fuel tubing route.

I have not had any issues with a bad grab but I have thought about shortening it up a bit.

Nice Inferno! I hadn't thought about doing the loop like that.

This is a crappy pic of how I do mine:

As for the origianal topic. Wow. I'm such a newb. I always wondered why I would see so many pics of people with long fuel lines. It always seemed logical to make the lines shorter. Get the fuel to the engine faster for first starts etc.

It just dawned on me that it increases your run time. duh.

I'm going to steal this fuel line setup the next time I redo it. Thanks!

Hi David,

it`s glued with Epoxy - no problem with the filter - it stays in same position and direktion.

But to be honest - I stole this layout from Magnus Palson.....:-)

The filter should stay in the right position but the hole in the filter is designed to lock it in with the nub on the holder, that was what I was saying :)

Magnus is the man btw.
