I want to know if there is an aluminium solid front axle that either Xray make or an aftermarket company makes that will fit a T3. I know there are aluminium driveshaft adapters but it's not usually the adapters themselves that break in a crash it's the composite solid front axle that always breaks.

To be honest I'm sick of having to replace the composite front solid axles and the C-hubs which the top screw strips out of after crashing. I know that not crashing would go a long way to solving the problem but that is the nature of non professional r/c racing, we are amatuers and inevitably we crash.

I ask Xray why lightweight aluminium or titanium isn't used [besides weight issues] to solve the problem once and for all.

You can use on T3 2011 as solid axle.

I have seen others do this. Do I have to buy new driveshafts? Or can I use the standard front driveshafts with a plastic cap on them?

Yes, its fairly standard to run the front ball diff slightly tighter than the rear.

Hey JPS,

As the other guys have suggested, if you want to run a spool up front then the Multi Diff is the strongest option (make sure you pick up the T3 lipo one).

With regard to the Hubs stripping, there are two options...

Xray offer these parts in Aluminium but they are going to add weight and change the handling of the car.

I think the most practical option is to always make sure you are using a screw which is long enough to utilise all of the thread in the hub. In other words if you add shims to the top of the hub, try and use a longer screw. However, always check the screw isnt too long so that it catches on the driveshafts.

model will have more entering-corner steering. Best with very tight carpel or low traction tight asphalt . Best for slow classes .
