XRAY - Model racing cars

Hello guys,
first of all i have to say this forum is great, found a lot of good advice to make car easier and faster to drive. Car is a T3'2011.

On high grip carpet tracks with fast and slow corners i have a problem with slow corners. Car is stopping too much (off throttle). I don´t brake that much, i try to race smooth.

Setup:
Sorex 28R
Multi flex: stiff setting
front: 3.2 springs, 50oil, 3rd hole, toe 1°, camber 1°, RC +0.75 front and rear, 1.4sway bar
rear: 2.8 springs, 40oil, 3rd hole, camber 1°, RC 0 front and rear, 1.2 sway bar

Would a change of roll center (little higher) help? adding shims (RC fine tuning on page 11-12 instr. manual) or using H1 and H2 on front.

Interesting you should ask that - I think I have had that problem, not just on my new t3'11.

on my other cars just before t3'11 - it could well be down to your esc settings - is your throttle a bit on and off? are you using turbo?

you may find that it may be worth getting rid of turbo, slightly taller gearing, max the timing, get rid of drag brake.

I tried these things along with lengthening the middle and top range of the throttle on the radio, along with reducing throttle speed slightly.

I found that the car would then carry more speed into the corners - I am making club a-finals, when I used to be in the b's - so it works for a pleb like me.

I am no expert - but I have found a combination of things will retain your front grip, whilst helping you carry the speed.

tried harder tyres, but car began to slide, so get back to sorex28r.
Then a friend told me to use ecs drive shafts (#305325). Ordered them, wait for them.

"setup" of M11X is basic, i mean, i change the d/r and epa, but didnt change the expo, arc, or neutral range, drag brake (esc settings) etc. I´ll try it next practice day.

I would suggest the following changes for less stopping:

Use kit springs, yours are too hard.

Use same weight of shock oil front and rear.

1.4 rear sway bar.

Offset 0 front and rear.

Rear shock position 2nd hole from bottom.

H1+H2 roll centers front and rear.

If you use a heavier front shock oil you will loose on-power steering and the car will not drive round through the corner. I always prefer to use the same oil weight front and rear. With heavier front shock oil the car might stop more.

thnx, i changed to same oil front and rear (40) and 2.8 springs, was a little better than before. Have to order H1 and H2 parts and sway bar.

Try to take out shim under the front steering block. This should make the car turn in smoother. Also use 0 shims under the steering rack.
U can try to use 2mm shims between front bulkheads and hinge pin holders.
