The gearboxes can easily be sealed with silicone glue, shoo goo, or even just grease will do the trick and keep moisture and dust out.

I love my 2010 808 what an amazing car it is.. I can wait till the 2011 comes out and to see the changes, i have already pre ordered mine from my local hobby supplier, even ordered a new toro nero ready for it. From the few images i have seen it looks to be one very nice car, cant wait to run it against the new durango

I'm currently running a mix of '08 and '09 parts on my 808. Will there be a conversion kit and will I need a complete '10 car for the conversion to '11-spec?

The new 2011 car is a much better car in my opinion. I believe the new optional gearing that can be run is a big improvement and is better for most tracks especially loose tracks. The changes that were made do not look big but react big on the track. In my opinion you can run a bone stock car and there will be no disadvantage. The option parts are nice but do not think you have to buy everything to make the car good. Xray is constantly striving to make the best car and I believe soon we will have it!

For sure ,i cant wait to unwrap the 2011 model, ive already got the new rear aluminum hubs and skinnier front knuckles waiting for it, just got to get the front caster blocks when they are available.

maybe josh wheeler can help me here. I got from italy the new front hubs and the new rear hub setup. for the 2011 808. then on r/c tec forum some one whom I'm going to assume works or drives for x-ray usa said that there was a problem with the rear hubs breaking and that they sent them all back to the factory. he goes by rmargiotta. said josh broke one. Let me know if you could please. He did come back on and say they were from 2 very hard hits.

thanks. I just don't see x-ray putting out a bad product. If it is,this is the first x-ray part that I know of that would brake.

011 specs say new and improved handling what changes hav been made to improve handling? can only see rollcentre ajustment at lower inboard hingepin is there any other changes focused at improving the handling..
