I'm having problems with the Ball joint with molded dot. In the T3 2011 instructions is says the molded dot should face the quick roll centre (facing the shock tower) as below;

But they are impossible to snap on this way. The only way I can get them on is with the dot facing away from the quick roll centre (facing away from the sock tower).

What am I doing wrong?

They do go on but are a pain both ways I think. I used long nosed pliers. I put them on the wrong way when I built it but have just installed the H quick roll centres and changed them then. Must say they feel no different both ways in terms of movement.

I protected the bulkheads with foam, with the roll centres screwed in i used long nose pliers with foam between the carbon fibre and jaws to protect the bulkhead. Then gently started applying pressure until they snapped on.

Hi Everyone,

Easiest way is to screw the H1/H2 blocks to shock tower, then push the camber link on.
This way you can support the back of the shock tower with you fingers and push the camber link with you thumb.

Cheers
Andrew

Hi are you guys using the correct ball joints? I had this problem when I bought my L1/L2s and could not fit the ball joints - even using a club hammer and breaking 27 shock towers :D Then I discovered the ball joints were wrong - I cannot recall the details sitting here but there are two very similar ball joints but with different part numbers.

Yeh the kit ones seem like its impossible to put them on, but with a bit of patients and leverage they go on the right way, then it also becomes easy to switch them about.

It would be nice to see or have a reason to why they need to go on this way, because they look the same both directions.

the only difference i can see is that the molded dot the right way - the link arm sits a little closer to the tower and makes it harder to pop off?

I should add that once I discovered I was using the wrong joints, it was dead easy - I used pretty much the same method Andrew describes above except I suspect I used needle pliers rather than my thumb :D
