The spool would not be needed anymore that's correct, but the adjustable one-way diff does not have a setting that will make it work like a normal diff. So if you prefer to run a normal diff you can use the one of the diffs from the previous T1 incarnations.

As to what is included in the kit, I suggest you go to and click at the bottom of the FK05 picture. This will start a flash aplet with loads (and I mean loads) of info and pictures.

Great car guys loving it so far!

Just a quick question Tony,i run outdoors in the UK and most of the time the 1 way is not the best option outside as we never get tempratures over 10 degrees and harldy non of our tracks are like billaboard tables.So dont tend to favour the 1 way like ur tracks over the pond.Im not keen on spool diffs seem to loose to much top end,this does matter to me as i run in the 27t stock class.

This new Multi Diff,i think its a great idea but dont quite understand the other diff option,the 'copuled' one-way,does this act like a diff in anyway wotsoeva? Il probly just put my FK diff in and use the Multi diff for the 1 way and spool option! Just dont understand the 'copuled' one-way Just carnt get my head around it. dont make sense to me!

Apart from that lads AWESOME car!! Carnt wait to get 1 on the track (without that 'multi' diff in may i add :wink: )

Ok let's try this another way.

On power the "synchro" option works the same way as a one-way or spool, i.e. both front wheels have drive and rotate at the same speed even during cornering as it works as if both wheels are attached to the same axle.

Off power the wheels stay attached to the same axle however now this axle is freewheeling. While the axle is freewheeling the tyres will continue rotating at the same speed EVEN during cornering.

This is different to a normal one-way as in that case both tyres turn independently of one another off power. During cornering this makes it possible for the inside tyre to rotate slower than the outside wheel.

OK so now that I understand what the coupled dif does, whay would I want it to do that? It seems like it takes the thing that is good about the spool and what sucks about the one way and puts them in one unique package. what would the benifit of both wheels beeing coupled be?


Also I cant help but notice that on the presentation I read that the kit that will sell in the states will include a ball dif for the front and back, should I assume the multi-dif will be a option part and not included like it states or implies in other pages.

Also in the spec parts I read there will be aluminum suspension holders included. At the risk of sounding silly, What is this part? I cant help but think that these are hinge pins? Is this so?

I am not meaning to be nit picky, I am just wondering. thanks
