Hi paul,
i'm new to the forum (and to the R/C car world).
I got a T3 EU (2010). I drive on asphalt and foam tires.
I'm playing with the setup: started from basic (rubber! :( ) and gradually moved to something more suitable to my track.
I have a couple of questions for you.
At the beginning I've never checked the rear toe. Basically i've followed the standard suggested conf to have 3deg (0deg integrated + 1.5 shim = 3deg) today I was checking the toe for the first time and discovered that on my Hudy tool the toe is 2deg! Looking to the setup book it seams that 1.5 shim and no integrated gives 2deg; on the online setup sheet, selecting the same formula gives 3deg. Did I made some mistake in building the car? What should I do, following the instructions (0deg integr. + 1.5 shim) and ignore the Hudy tool reading or setup my rear toe using the tool whatever shim I need?
Second point. when I've tried to obtain the 3deg on the setup tool, I had to use a 1.5+0.75 shims on the right suspension and 1.5+0.4 shims on the left! Is this normal (possible)? Or, again, did I made some mistake in building the car? Should I ignore the reading of the tool and follow the "theoretical" symmetry (1.5+0.75)?
Thank you for your help
Ciao

Fausto

Hi Paul,

In general what would you change to get more high speed steering from the car? I need more on my 2011.

Thanks,

Antoni

Hi Paul

I found some problems with new steering system
It seems to have too much steering with a little movement of servo

Is difficult to be consistent lap after lap

I tryed to install the old system and the car became easier to drive and consistent

I did a charity race last week, also with Rheinard, and the car was very good

Nothing to do with the world Champion, but I was on A final and the car was good for all the race

Many owners of the new 2011 with the new steering system have had some problems

Have you found some problems with new steering?

Hey paul,

Could you explain to me how wing position effects the handling of the car, and could you tell me whats a good starting setup for a low grip (rubber gym floor), tight, technical track. My car is a T3 eu rubber spec, with a LRP X12 5.5T, my current ratio is 24/114

Thanks, Tyler
