Hello Jerome,

I am an amatuer and just started driving my car 3 times a week at my local track for practice. However, my setup is really really bad and messy. I am improving as a driver quite well but I believe I need to up my game and to do so I need to setup my car for the track. I would like a good starting point and then tinker it to my needs from there on. I have found your EURO 2010 Guarda setup dated 17/07/2010 and I would like to ask if that is a good starting point.

Do you have any tips for me as far as setup goes?

Thanks!

For differentials I currently have front 7000 middle 5000 and rear 3000. How will the driving compare with your 4000 4000 2000 setup?

the car will be for me a bit faster in corner(more steering) and more easier to drive! easier on the bump and jump!

I already use 1.3 piston in the rear and 1.4 and I will use 400 in front and 550 in the rear. How much percent rebound?

Not a lot, about 20 or 30% rebound! I never use more or only if the track is really flat and sleepery

hi jerome nice to see you spending some time with us thankyou.

my question is for my shocks i have the '09' spec 6 hole pistons just wondering what oil would be good for this? i use 30 wt oil currently. for a bumpy and usually dusty track.

also wondering would it be alot of difference going from my current 6 hole pistons im using now with low oil compared to 8 and 10 hole pistons with a bit thicker oil?

also i currently run 452 in the diffs at the moment and run a long wheel base just wondering how a solid aluminium rear brace would go for a bumpy track also.

and any other tips you can give me for my home bumpy and usually dusty track?

any help much appreciated thankyou.

hi Jérome,

I'm a friend of Jiper, and I saw you in the Oleron's French race !!!!

I have also a 808 transform to 808E and I use the same setup than my 808 Th.

with your 808TH or BLS, do you make a test with new shocks 10*1.1, 8*1.2, etc... I remember It was a good choice when I had my RC8 (10*1.1) ?

And at the end of this month (30, 31th of october), we organise a national "grand prix" in Nantes, do you think it's possible to you to drive in this race ?

have a nice day !!!

Hello Jerome, speaking of this table , I wanted to ask what are the eccentric to be used for the basic setup ... I ask this because I think the tables are not very clear, in fact the first table shows how the "basic setting" arms in the middle position eccentric bushing to use numbers 0 ... in the second table instead shows how the "basic setting" arms in the down position eccentric bushing to use number 1 low. one of two tables is wrong? eccentric bushings which I use to have the basic setup?
Thanks!!

Does Xray make a bearing spacer for the older 808 edition. I have the 08 kit.
Thank You
