I bought a 008 for 70 quid to replace a schumacher MI4LP and after a couple of new spares have foud it to be absolutely superb.

talking to drivers at the track many say that the 008 was superb, and that one can tell very little difference between it and the 009, or even t3 - is that the later cars are a bit more 'pointy'. From that I have interpreted it that it can be as much as driving style dictating the difference.

my 008 is now going very well, in fact better than any other car I have had. I originally bought it as a cheap 'stop gap' but am now considering holding on to it.

Am I gonna get a real noticeable improvement with a more recent car, or am i better off keeping the money and just using it to buy more fresh tyres regularly?

Having owned the 008, 009 and T3, I do like the T3, but it the setup seems to have to be more exact.

The 008 and 009's were easier to get a reasonable setup on.

If you like easy setups and are doing well, then stay with your current car.

See how the new car goes (T3 2011 out soon) and possible try someone else's if you know someone who gets one.

Hi Damian

Am I right in thinking that the 008 is a bit more forgiving to drive as well? If so I might just wait a bit and do as you say - try and persuade somone to let me have a go of their t3 2011

Having run 08, 09, T3 I must say that I prefer the T3 08->09 not big difference but the T3 for me at least feels more stable :)

Whatever you choose you wont regret it :)

The 008 was an awesome car with one club member here still running it and is as fast as anything. If you were to get one of the aftermarket lipo chassis you will essentially have the new car.

Hi chaps

I have decided to hold onto my 008, at least until the end of the winter season. If it still feels tight I'll keep it longer still

Everyone I talk to seems to be saying the same thing about the 008 to t3. It's more about set-up and tyre prep than anything else.

So there you go.
