I'd like to develop a "rule of thumb" as far as changing the damping to take atvantage of xray's adjustable shocks.

Say I was running 40wt oil with 4 holes open. Then I needed more damping and switched to only 1 hole open. Disreguarding things like pack, am I running an equiv to 45 wt with 4 holes open or 50 or 60??

It would be nice to quantify how much of a change this adjustment makes.

As a general rule of thumb I would equate closing one hole with about a 5w thicker oil. So closing three holes would be similar to 15w thicker oil.
