I got my droop gauge in yesterday. Can't figure it out. I set my ride height at 5mm all around. I put my car on 10mm blocks and couldn't figure out what to do next. I set my downstops until the droop gauge had a reading of 6 or 7 on the gauge, thinking i was doing it right. When i took it off the blocks and put my tires back on, the downstops were holding my chassis at a 4mm ride height. Not knowing what to do, i set my chassis on the ride height gauge at 7mm then tightened the downstops to the point right when the tire lifted off the ground. After i did all 4 corners, i took off my wheels, put the car back on the blocks and used the droop gauge to even them out side to side. They fell on the number 4 on my droop gauge. Could someone please explain the formula works to get the number on my droop gauge. I read the set-up book over and over again but i can't figure it out? If my ride height is 5mm but the tires don't leave the ground until my chassis is 7mm off the ground, then my droop is 2mm, right? How do you get a number 4 on the droop gauge? Any help is greatly appreciated.
