Was the first 808 the 09 spec?

I'm looking at buying a used 808 and the guy said it was the first 808 out, but wasn't certain if it was the 09 spec or what. I believe 09 was the first 808, but want to confirm. For the price, I'm thinking I'll snag the car cheap then toss in the '10 upgrade kit. Or run it like it is for a while and see if I like it.

The 09 is the second version. Mainly a new body/mounts and updated diff cases with the spacer. Also no more felt in the shocks which now have boots. IMO the 09 is the best yet except for the longer chassis on the 10. If you get the 08 version just buy 09 bulkheads with spacer and the 10 chassis and you are set!. If you run nitro you will also need the 10 radio tray.

I ended up buying. I got it cheap and it's in good shape. I'll probably just buy the '10 upgrade kit and be done with it.
