Hi

I have an Xray T2 009 with the motor forward kit fitted.
The rear belt is extremely tight (I have tried all settings) and causes loss of power and a whining noise!
I have checked all belt part numbers and have the correct 38T/20T teeth.

Also I have a 13.5T motor and I am currently using an 84T Spur and a 27T pionion as it will not allow any bigger with very limited motor movement (I tried 87/25 and the meshing was far too tight).
The car is fairly slow and the motor does not get hot at all.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim,

Do you have the ecentric bearing holder all the way towards the back?
And do you have your diffs in the up or down position?
Moving them down might add a bit more tension on the belt possibly - could try moving the into the up position.

The other thing to try is moving the bearing holder notch into the small gap between the bulkhead and the shock tower holders.

Cheers
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I have put the notch in the small gap and the belt tension seems much better.

I am not sure if my diffs are in the up or down position?

Many thanks,

Tim
