XRAY - Model racing cars

Okay, finally my shocks are dry!! I installed the orange kyosho o-rings and made a little hole in the shock boot as it looked like it was sucking the oil out. Problem solved here.

Yea think the Orange Kyosho Orings are the ticket.. installed them on mine from the get go and 0 leaks..

I too am having problems with this leaking problem, and i am very careful with shock builds,as this can be the difference with a good race or a bad race.

Now after running one heat at our Qld titles here in australia, the rear shocks leaked at the shaft, meaning each race i needed to refill. Now after scratching my head and starting to become frustrated with this, i looked through all my spares, and with the XT8 08 model i used Hong Nor big bores and they where great on the ray, so i grab the o-rings (which are slightly bigger internally ) from the bag and placed an Hong Nor o-ring in first then the spacer then an XRAY o-ring, problem solved, worked a treat, then the bladders stated to leak, this i came to the conclusion that after undoing the caps so many times the edge of the bladder had been cut by the hole in the cap. Not having the parts on me i reverted to using a Hong Nor bladder, slightly bigger than the rays bladder but this became the fix for the completion of the meeting.

In saying all this the front shocks had no leaks or drama's????

i have heard and couldn't be bothered reading all the posts but is it true that XRAY have changed the bladder construction, and are now ribbed for more durability ??? and has anyone had drama's with the new design, thanks for any reply's or input into this slight drama
