hi everybody

i have recently changed from mugen mbx6 to the xray 808 platform only to be a bit disapointed on the steeringmy 808 turns like a bus compared to my old mugen...

my style of driving is very aggrasive so i like the car twichy and responsive so i can bang it into a corner pull the trigger and get out of there... at the moment i have to slow the car down to a pathetic speed just to get it to turn

current setup is as follows on hard bumpy dusty tech track

front 3000
center 5000
rear 2000

front shock 550 1.5
rear shock 350 1.3

12DEC alloy front camber blocks
with the basis shock position on towers as well as camber links

being a c-hub design it should have plenty of steering

any setup tips/sheets /advise would very thankfull other wise back to mugen i go :cry:
apart from my steering issue the car jumps handles and flys like no other car in the market so hopefully we can fix my problem

oh just 1 more thing i getting i little confused with the i.i.s suspension system with the inserts is there a guide/manual to follow with what inserts give u the correct rear toe/rear anti-squt as for the front etc etc as i dont have 1

Please fill out a full setup sheet so we can help you better. It can and will have plenty of steering with the right setup, don't worry. It also helps a lot to try different things out yourself but we can also point you in the right direction I think.

The easiest way to gain more front end grip is to move the weight of the car to the front by moving all the suspension arms partially or fully backwards using the shims but there are lots of other ways to gain steering. If you need more initial turn-in, the 10° caster blocks would have been better though I think.

With the 0 inserts all around you will have 10° kickup infront and 3° anti-squat in the rear (if you're using the 2°-4° holder) with 3° toe. The .5 and 1 inserts will always change all of this by .5° and 1° respectively in the desired direction.

Move your rear arms forward,rear camber link short and all the way down on the tower,front camber link all the way up on the tower.You can also put in the 41t overdrive gear on the front diff which helps turn in and pulls hard on the way out.I hope this helps.

Run shocks to inner hole on arms.
Run thicker rear shock oil...350 gives too much grip. Try 450 and go from there.

I feel this same. It's understeering when I am braking and want to take corner and when I'm trying to turn I use full throttle, and it's suddenly spin and lose the grip and it's oversteer. So it's really unpredictable.

I use 7/5/2 diff oils, like the basic setup, and 600 (F) and 350 (R) shock oils

it's setuped like the basic.

Please help. Clay is teh surface. Maybe I should use 5/5/2? or 450 shock oils. I don't know. Thank's for help

The stock setup pushes coming into the corners and overstears coming out.Try moving the rear arms forward,it helps alot.
