New bulldog shells ready for the Western Australian Challenge cup first leg. My lad would like to thank HEI (xray Australia), Ryper Hobbies, AKA Australia....

Blade, which model is the buggy shell for, did you have to move the rear mount any, they both look great btw, good luck in the series.

I used the mugen truggy shell on my XT8, found the side skirts a lil narrow, but it works nicely, that and it has a drop on the hood to help protect the body posts, not sure I made the right call on the truggy body though, it works weel I think.

How well does the mugen buggy body fit the 808, is that a '10 version or the shorter '09 chassis? side skirts not too narrow. How much room is there between the fuel tank and the body, I have mounted a exhaust cooler to the tank, it barely clears the jconcepts body I'm using right now, and I'm waiting for the bulldog to get shipped to me, I'm just hoping it doesn't interfere. Sorry for asking so many questions, looks liek you got it painted and cut nicely, Just concerned it won't fit, kinda hard to tell from pictures.

@ blade954 - what airfilter are you using for the XT8 combination? Looks like there is no space for the airfilter holder.

Where the engine sits will be different, I moved the fuel hole down more as we use fuel gun not a bottle so you need to allow more room down instead of up. More so around the front where your ackerman arm moves you will need to position the shell with out your engine in and get the front body post just right too far back and the shell rubs on the front plastic sides too far up and you wont be able to get a body clip on as the front of the bulldog shell ramps up no flat spots to get a so its hit and miss and you will have to cut some of the front nose to get in behind the shock tower this shell will be a better fit on a 10 spec chassis with the extra length. I have an old chassis laying around and i use that for marking and cutting.. All i can say is get your front right before you trim the rear just have enough to let it lay once the front is done then i moved to the back

I also shimmed up the front body post 4mm. It made the body sit more level and helped with the front clip. It also gave me better battery clearance since I run an electric conversion.

I have someone painting my bodies for me, I had done one for the truggy, but impatience and other things I didn't let the paint dry well enough so it's turned into a practice body. Hopefully I will have the bodies cut by next weekend. Should have some pics weekend after that.

How much room is by the fuel tank? I am mounting a exaust cooler there, but had to riase the mounting point up some, the supplied fuel line holders aren't wide enough for the cooler I have, a Jconcepts body just barely clears. Hard to tell, wish the couple of shops had bodies in to test, kinda take blind leap, lol.
