XRAY - Model racing cars

If your going to use something to help lock the screws in try CA on a toothpick & rub it around the holes/threads in the plastic & put the screws in just before its fully dry. I have used this fairly often in the past esp 4mm chassis to bulk head screws on the mugens,works eaquily as well on X-RAY plastic. I do know for sure the Loctite brand thread lock does not works on X-RAY plastic,it melts the plastic permanently.Other brands may work though.

What play are you talking about? If you pull and push the center CVD shaft then the diff pinion seems to have quite a lot front-to-back play, but it is normal!



My 808 2010 had very minimal diff pinion/crown gear play so I assembled it without any shims. I'm guessing that after running the car in I have to put 0.1mm shim to the crown gear side. Usually you have to have 0.1mm shim there.

Yes pushing in while turning and feeling the pinion bind on the diff ring gear. Thanks for the link.
