Sure the slipper-center-diff would help in cklosi's case but... you can smash those gears with nitro car aswell, if you really really try :wink: Problems come when braking very hard during touchdown.

Try not braking while landing or limit the braking power. Most people run with too much brakes. Also don't use too thick center diff oil (10+k), which locks the diff too much. With normal (under 10k oil) it will act a bit like slipper when you land front or rear wheels first. It transfers the power from from front to rear or other way.

the deans plugs for the batterys built into the tray are perfect! but if yu get hit in the side i worry about your esc?

your going to run 4s instead of your usual 6s? or 2 3s packs

I am running Hyperion 35C 2600mah 3S packs.

I am going light weight. I only have to run 10 min mains. All RC Pro mains are 10 min and they run AAAs.

I weighed the carr last night and ready to race the car weighs 3354 grams that is 154 grams over the min.

Well... The usual setup (one battery left-side, motor right-side) weighs usually:
- around 3400g with heavy 40C 5Ah 4S (74Wh of energy)
- around 3300g with lighter battery
- could get 3200g with light car (option parts + lighter screws/nuts) and 3500-4000mAh 4S batt that would last on some slower tracks.

You are putting only 58Ah of energy onboard weighin 3354g. I'm putting 74Wh of energy onboard weighin 3400g. Doesn't look too good idea of running it like that (2x3S small LiPos).

Higher voltage does seem smarter on paper, but in the end you have worse energy-to-weight ratio batteries and bulkier mountings...

BTW just read that Josh Wheeler TQ Electric Buggy @ Silverstate. Nice job. Is he running the prototype 808E?
