XRAY - Model racing cars

I have brand new OS .12XZ Speed and a .12TG, but what is the Best Engine to use? They show a Max on the Display, and discuss Novarossi. What is a good choice for racing, anyone just Jump IN.

The problem with the shown specs on paper is that they aren't real. Between 2 different engines on paper there can be a huge difference but on the track the differences aren't there or even the worst on paper can be the best on the track.

It is wise to take a look wat people drive on the nationals. The most chosen engine must be populair for its performance and reliabillity.

hey brothers has anyone ran the max XXL3 balanced version yet? I'm having a hard debate between MAX or the NOVA 353 09. Your opinion are greatly appreiated.

If you want my 2 cents ... can't go wrong here ... 5 of the top 10 at the '09 ROAR Nats used it ...

I also agree that Murnan tuned engines are superb, not only for their performance but their fuel economy. The RBM3 is probably equal to the Novarossi 353 but a little cheaper. Check out the Murnan web site.

I think you could try a Nova Plus 12-3 sct...

...this is still one of the best engine on the track.

The main difference between the Plus and the Plus2 is that the first has more power at lower RPM (best acceleration but not the best engine in tracks with a long long straight) and the second has less acceleration but more power at high RPM

Balestri still use the "old" Plus in many races... they prefer that engine to the Plus2 in many occasions.
