Thanks again for the help. I think I will either have to buy a second hand t1 which is a bit pointless or bite the bullet and get a 6 cell chassis and the new bulkheads or file them. I think I'll get a new chassis just as spare. How long do you think my origional chassis will last as the only worn part is the rear corners?

That's difficult to tell without some pictures, but I would expect the chassis to last at least two seasons if you don't abuse it too much.

Upgraded a T1 to an Evo2 carbon chassis and all you need to do is a little filing to your current bulkheads and everything else will fit. There was even instructions in my Evo2 chassis telling me where to file the T1 bulkheads to get them to fit.

Griff, how difficult was it to file the bulkheads and did you notice any change in handling characteristics?

How is your car going? Out of interest how often have you changed the thrust bearings in the diffs? I haven't done mine ever so I was thinking of getting the carbide balls as I don't imagine it's easy to change them and fiddly.

Do you know if the new stiff chassis will bolt straight onto my car or do I need to buy shorter suspension arms and wide hubs to make it work properly?

John is right. I think it will work without too much trouble, but it will take some work. As an alternative to John's suggestion you can also use a dremel to make the indentations in the chassis larger to make room for the pivot holders in the lower mounting position. Again, takes some work but not too much. If you do the bare minimum there should be no noticeable difference in the chassis stiffness.

CHeers for the reply Tony. I have contacted xray by email through this website and they said it would be a direct fit???? I think I may trust you guys more as you will say if it needs work to fit or not. I am definetly not that confident with a dremell so I'll stick to the 6 cell chassis and a file or new bulkheads.
