XRAY - Model racing cars

Building my T3 last night (EU Rubber Edition) and the spool comes with two screws that go through the outdrives. In mine, the screws just 'sit' there, they don't screw into anything and don't actually do anything.

Is that correct? I don't see the point of them if that's all they do, or did I miss something?

Put a little pressure on them when you screw them in. They should catch the threads and go right in. Took me a minute to figure that out as well.

When doing the screws up, pull the outdrive out slightly so that as you are screwing them in the move inwards along with the screw, this way you can do up the screws without going too far and ruining the thread.
That way the spool can be used again if you break an outdrive.

But yes, they are very stiff to get 'started' in the spool.
