Hi all, Would just like to share this with you. Since many people having problems with the chassis on T3 (we won't go into too much detail but i'm sure you know what I mean. I had a chassis brake too)

After this I set about reproducing the bulkheads on the car, just an alternative to what Xray have produced with the single piece block to replace to two seperate wishbone blocks.

I have obtained 7075 T6 Aluminium to produce these so will be identical strength to current bulkheads.

Anyway, here are some images.

Would also like to just add i'm not treading on Xrays toes here and do not want any of the Hudys to take offense that I have produced these, just an idea I had and with my job I am lucky enough to be able to have full access to a CNC orientated machine shop.

All comments welcome, thanks for looking.

when T3 were first introduce, we ALL realise this is the weak point!!
but we all think replacing the holder is BETTER / CHEAPER than replacing the bulkhead!
when it first launch, people buying spare holderssssssssss with the kit!
but I think most people now damage the chasis instead of the holder.

for your design, it may fix the problem, but it is back to replacing the bulkhead problem, IF the xray newly design 1 piece holder can solve the problem, it would be earier to replace and setup.

but of course when you need to replace the front belt, you will need to remove the 1 piece holder first.

that's why i said IF the new 1 piece holder (302047) solve the problem, I will prefer the 1 piece holder.

Ahh right I see. Well yeah I do agree! It's just an alternative way.

Will be interesting to try my method then try the Xray single piece block to see what handling characteristics are different on chassis flex side of things!

Thanks for that, yeah I do think that on the principle that you don't need to take it off to change the belt it is better. Other than that though I think the characteristics will be very similar but without trying I do not know!

I'm going to order the new xray part to see what the differences are.

Any chance you could make something like that for the rear.Raced on the weekend and got hit from behind, the impact bent the m3x16mm screw that attaches the lower suspension holder to the suspension block.Luckily I had done the superglue tip and loctited the chassis screws to the mounts. The rear does have 1degree toe built in but I would be happy to have the same sort of setup as per the t2 009.
