hi all
the last xray i got was a FK05, which was some yrs ago, i stopped due to studies, nvr got a T2. i just got myself a T3. open the box, lift the chassis up, almost cut myself. seems like i hv to read the manual to sand the edges first. after a careful inspection, i'm kind of disappointed with the T3 quality.
1. the edges are too rough from production, consumers will cut themselves if not handle properly.
2. i also noticed abt 3 to 4 counter-sunk holes on bottom of chassis that small bits of the edges are starting to peel. it really gives me a very bad impression either the cutting tools are not as good (wore out) or the chassis material is not as good as before?
3. the battery slots don't look straight to me, looks jagged. really looks like the slots are chiseled bit by bit to form the straight line.
(i'm sorry no pics right now as it's difficult to capture this in a camera)
4. lastly, there's a line running across from left to right on the rear of chassis (both sides) abt 3-4mm away from the rear edge. looks like a "dent", is this normal?
i have yet started to build the car but i already disappointed with the quality/finishing of the chassis although the above mentioned stuffs shd be able to fix with some CA & sanding. i have yet checked out other parts of the car, so not sure if other parts have these "quality" issue as well. i'm sorry as i really did not experience these before in my FK05.
are there any T3 owners seeing the same thing as me?
can someone from xray respond?
thx
& sorry for the poor quality pics
