XRAY - Model racing cars

I would be interested to see exactly how you modified the rear body mounts please.
I neglected to consider the length of the new chassis and ruined my factory included lid. And almost again with the JConcepts XT8 lid. In fact the jury is still out on the JConcepts lid.
At this point I am thinking about trying to somehow extend the existing posts upward about 1/4 of an inch and that would at least let me use this lid I have already butchered. I refuse to drill into my carbon fiber though. Plus there isn't enough room that I can see to simply move the post up higher on the tower.
I guess this is what we get when we rush right out to buy the latest, greatest truggy on the market.

Thanks for posting man. I think that might be a usable suggestion for me. I had decided to fabricate something to push the rear mounts forward a little. BUt I don't think I really need that whole inch or so the unused servo mounts would offer. I'll haveta look at it more closely and see.


EXTRA nice paint job on your lid I would like to add.

I didn't need an inch either, but I used what I had, and now I can't think of a better way to do it. It cost me exactly $0 dollars to make.

Excellent point about the modification not costing anything. No cost repairs and anything xray aren't usually used in the same sentence.

The MBX6T rear mounts are much longer than the XT8 or even the 09 808 extended rear mounts, placing the body holes well away from the edge of the shell humps
