Hi

Please could you take a look at the 375040 part.
The outer diameter of the part of the hub that should centre the wheel is just way too small.

It seems the decision was made to centre the wheel on the accuracy of the tri arangement of wheel bolts. This is a bad idea and as a result the non diff side wheel is likely to run out of true.

I have resulted to using the HotBodies hub as a temporary measure.
Anyone like to comment?

Yes its one of the things we noticed when we got our first team kits in the US too. I was worried at first about its design as well and thought it would not center well but to my surprise after running the car several weeks on high bite carpet and 1 national event I have not seen a single wobble or bent wheel at all!! It seems that they are holding up excellent thus far. The hub is a lot thicker and has more support for the back of the wheel on it too which may be the reason the wheels are holding up so well.

Ok but I found is issue while tracking down the r e a s o n why my trued tyre was not running true on the car. I am not worried that the wheel or the hub will bend because of this. My concern is that the accuracy in this area will be non-consitent.

I appreciate that you have not had any problems (I have). The design of the part is lazy. It is not hard to make it right. I want it right!

So much of the Xray XII is a lovely fit and finish. This thing is just an oversight. They can change it. It just needs recognition and willpower.
