Hey Guys!
I have a few questions regarding XB808 setup and driving style if you can bare with with me:
1) Will the 41T front overdrive on a standard diff require anything else or is it ok to just install the gear on the standard diff.
2) Does the centre diff work more when running this 41T as front wheels are rotating more?
3) Is it suited to most track types surfaces? e.g. I run mostly on a tight worn grass track mostly hairpin bends (its not hard packed) and also occasionally on astro.
4) One last question when driving I know that in a real car on slippery surface feeding on the throttle is the fastest way to gain forward momentum this obviously applies to the model car but how do you good drivers do it? Ive watched and driven slower but even in controlled tyre races with very similar setups and no mistakes I am still trailing by 4 seconds on a 54 second lap track? how is it done? Not fair!
I always run Aluminium clutch shoes with gold springs. I know this should be changed to more progressive clutch e.g. 1 carbon to stop the sudden amount of wheel spin I must be creating even while I try to drive smoothly.
Any reccomendations? my last 2 national rounds have not gone so well with engine issues but these should be sorted this weekend and I need to start beating people or at least get better!
I know! its not all about winning, but hey! why count the laps! lol
I love the sport just want to improve!
Thanks for any tips!
Nick
