The Mugen box is the best in the business. It has the simplest construction, most reliable switch mechanism and is torquey enough for all engines.

I've had two of the Team Magic based boxes and both of the switch mechanisms broke after about 6 months use.

For me the Thunder Tiger box is the best one hands down. Still using my fist one in its sixth year and I only replaced some plastic parts. All maintenance it needs is to clean off the contacts about three times a year if you drive a lot.

I've seen plenty of those go up in smoke through racing. People around me get them because they're a little cheaper but they have the small 550 motors in them that are perfect for 1/10th scale (HENCE THE NAME 1/10 STARTER BOX). I would hate to see somebody go down that road and have to buy something twice.

Those OFNA truggy boxes LDP is talking about is the way to go. Twin 750 motors (HUGE MOTORS) and belt that won't strip out like that 1/10th scale box you linked, then you get some 4S Lipo packs to go in there ( has some for CHEAP!) and never have to worry about your starter box again. That ofna box and battery will easily last longer than you will be racing rc cars.

Oh yeah, people with mugen boxes reach over and grab my box when they can't start their cars in the pits........

Actually they are 775 motors Rocco. This starter box would start your real car it's that good.
You would not be disappointed with the Ofna starter box.
