Hi guys, I wondered what you usually change in setup for mid corner grip. I use solid at front, to suit my driving style as I like braking hard an late entering a corner, but after that, I really need to slow down to make the car turn.

Here's the setup:

xform/index.php?act=view&ID=1043&setup=nt1

and yes, I have really high ride height, it was a mistake, but I dont think 2mm lower r.h. would solve the problem.

So what do you think, should I narrow the car down, or use softer springs, or anything else...

i found it helped me a lot to increase the caster...

so i put all the shims to the front of the of the arm and nothing at the back of the front upper arms...

hi martin, first of all thanks for your answer.

Indeed, I dont need steering, I have enough turn in, and corner exit steering. My problem is only at the middle of corner, but I thought again and it maybe happens because of excessive loose rear end on throttle, I couldnt give enough throttle near apex, afraid of spinning. It was a low grip track.

Anyways, thanks for the help.

And do the other drivers push harder or the track condition does not allow to push harder to anyone?

then, I suggest to increase rear toe in, softer rear anti roll bar, less rear camber. I woul try also softer tires like 35F and 37R

I had the best time at that race actually... But I felt I could do better laptimes.

I used 3degree toe in, stock rear roll bar with 2mm space between joint.
For camber, it was 4.5 left side and 4 right side, anything less than that would cone to outwards... I also used "1" hole on rear camber plate, as an Xray factory driver suggested me to make tires cone inward.

The track had incredible tire wear, so softer tires wasnt an option...

Maybe my clutch setting was too agressive but I was using 18t pinion on first gear, so it shouldnt be a problem?

are you using standard Xray clutch spring? Yes it is correct, when the clutch is too hard, then the rear tends to slide when you accelerate. Therefore, I use soft clutch setting on low traction tracks. The Xray standard clutch spring is very good for low-medium traction
