Ok i have a long straignt and a high speed sweeper. I have to let off or the car will push on trottle. I have to lightly brake to transfer weight to the front and then hit the trottle just a little more. But were losing time. If we can figure out a way to get more on power steering. MY GOD. It will be the fastest car at the track.... Ok as far as my setup. The car is great on the inside. Today i spend the day trying differnt things with the car... Their's a bunch of other racers at the track that drive kyosho's. Ok so I let a couple of top drivers test the car. They all loved it. and were able to get consistent lap times. they drove the car even better then they did their kyosho cars and gained better lap times with my car over their equiptment. And it was the first time driving my car. I think that say's alote about my setup. Witch without the Setup bood that comes with the car, The support of Ralf Burch and you guy's on the forum. I wouldn't even begin to imagine how anyone could do it. Expecially if their just starting out..... only one problem. If i can get more steering on trottle my god. The car would be the perfect Car. As it is now It's so close to perfection it's not even funny. I've only been doing this for 3 month's or so. And All my team mates are switching to NT1 only because i'll be able to assist them with their set-up and they just cant belive the car handles so well. It's planted. It's consistent. it's just extreamly reliable and easy to drive. So stable.I want to make it 100% perfect without having to change anything else dramatically in my setup for the track. I need more high speed on power steering and I need it to change directions in a high speed chicane. If you guy's could help me with this man. Would i be able to really prove an even bigger point. NT1 far more superior to any other on road sedan at the track. And all them Kyosho guy's need to drive a real car. Witch some already are making the switch. So if you look on the setup section of this forum you'll see my homestead setup. What can i do to get more on power high speed steering.
It's really important to me. I will do testing on Moday with an A-Main Driver But i'm gonna need a little help. I have a couple of thing's in mind tell me if they would work...
From my understanding if a car pushes on power its usually because the rear of the car has more trackion the the from so it makes the car to push.
Stiffer rear
springs
• Makes the car have less rear traction, but more steering mid-corner and at corner exit. This is especially apparent in long,
high-speed corners.
Higher front
downstop value
• Decreases front chassis upward travel on-throttle.
• Increases high-speed steering.
• Increases “initial” on-throttle understeer.
• Better on smooth tracks.
Front
Softer damping Thinner More holes
• More steering into the corner.
• Less stable.
Rear
Harder damping Thicker Less holes
• Less traction.
• More steering
Rear Track Width
Wider
• Increases rear grip at corner entry.
• Increases high-speed on-throttle steering.
• Use to avoid traction rolling.
Front Track Width
Narrower
• Increases front grip.
• Decreases understeer.
• Faster steering response.
Caster
Less caster angle
(more vertical)
• Decreases straight-line stability.
• Increases steering at corner entry.
• Decreases steering at mid-corner and corner exit.
Rear anti-roll bar
Stiffer
• Decreases chassis roll.
• Decreases rear grip (increases front grip).
• Increases on-power steering.
• Quicker steering response in high-speed chicanes.
readinf threw the setup book. this is what i found.
Please any ideas would be extreally helpfull. Their going to be a club race next weekend. If we can figure out the pushing on trottle and getting thr thru the chicane We will win............... And I would have proven That the car is the best car. And with the help of team xray. Even a guy who just been doing this for a couple of month's with the right equiptment and the right support can dominate....... But of course. The car is great. But what makes it even better is the support that comes with it...... And that's why my team mates are switching to a real car. They saw it for themself's.
I will test all ideas you guy's may have and i will post the results. I will generate reports on the way the car handles and what the changes are doing. It's going to be a team effort. Anyone up for the challenge. I really need u guy's
