While your at it Paul, how about a short how-to on setting rebound and when to use foam insert and/or o-ring. Every time I try to set less than full rebound I end up with an air pocket in the shock and it causes an odd feel when the piston transitions from oil to air![/quote]


Here is what i do when i build my shocks: I fill them completely and let the bubbles come up, i push the shaft up to half way. with the shaft pushed in half way I put the bladder on top of the oil, i rest the bladder on top of the oil then i use a 2mm wrench or something like that and with the tip push the bladder all the way in (pushing down with the tip on the center of the inside), this makes sure that the bladder is fully extended inside the barrell and letting the oil out without letting air in. then i screw the cap down all the way tite. i then bleed the shocks from the bottom cap as i think the instructions say.
If you like your shocks dead and dont want to go threw the trouble of trying to get that much oil out without letting air in then you should just drill a small hole in the plastic top above the bladder then you wont have to bleed them and they will just be dead.

when setting your droop... do you set the car on the blocks (without tires) and use the droop guage that comes in the setup kit...

or do you set droop another way?

I have seen people set droop with the tires on and lift the front of the car up, then the rear (using a hex too or screw driverl) and see when the wheels rise off the ground.. making sure they lift off even.

what are your thoughts sir.. thanks in advance.
