First - assuming car is balanced, not tweaked, and settings are equal left/right
yes, generally run the same compound front and rear.
rotate tires left to right, careful doing front to rear as variation in tire doping could cause odd handling.
Adjust ride height and droop to compensate for tire wear, this is critical
For reference I ussually true foams to 2.25ish and over 4 or 5 runs they will wear to around 2.19
Visually check the tire around the rim if it is pulling away or rim is exposed from chunked tire it will cause odd behavior.
