What is the advantage of the 3D steering plate?

I've heard that this gives little less bump steer at ride height to full compression. But more at full extension; so if your track has big jumps the car might be tricky to control when it lands because of the extra toe out. It should be better on a rough track.

You can also play with shims to the knuckles or to the steering plate to try different bump steer location.
