XRAY - Model racing cars

The shims are needed for the larger spur gear, as the 48T will hit the chassis without the 35 4032 center diff shims.

As far as gearing goes, Xray does not offer a 12T clutch bell. What I'm thinking about doing (but too lazy to rip my car apart and do it, haha) is running the 48T spur with the 14T clutch bell which will make the gear ratio a little higher, but since the gears are bigger, you will get a little more torque so it you should maintain most of the bottom end, but will get a little more top end. I'll try it this week and see what happens.

So Rocco are the new alloy diff mounts the same size as the stock ones or will I need the shims when using the 48 tooth with the alloy mounts as well?

And do you guys have the yellow wheels in stock so I can get my supplier to order them?

I'm almost positive they are the same size because you still need the shims on them to use the 48T spur gears.

We do have the yellow wheels in stock, but you should convince them to buy a bunch of pink wheels too!

So is there a larger spur gear than 48T for XT8
