XRAY - Model racing cars

Rob I did read the thread, and it seems as if you're saying you want something reliable but you don't want to upgrade every 1-2 years? Every other company upgrades their cars, so why come on the XRAY forums and complain about them upgrading theirs? THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ORIGINAL XT8, THE ONLY THING WAS, IT COULD BE FASTER, WHICH HAS NOW BEEN ACHIEVED.

I don't know how hard this is to understand? Please drive the truck before commenting? If a $5 body post is going to deterr you from running this truck, you're in the wrong hobby.

And was it you that said you wanted to run the 2.0? Wow good luck.

I think what's making it seem like sort of a bash on the truck is the expectation of us racers who got to experience the amazing change from the XB8EC to the 808! I know I was amazed at the difference in my driving and I was hoping to get the same buzz when the XT809 came out. I do agree the XT8 is a good truck but I was hoping for the new model. On a different but sort of the same note, the economy plays a big part in everyones decision making more so than ever these days so I can't fault XRAY for saving a few bucks but I would really love to see a new platform next year!!

I can't wait to try out the new revisions on the 09. If they were going to make a new model next year, I'm sure a couple of parts from the 09 would show up and only a few changes would be made.

Anyone have any idea when we can buy these things?

Guys not trying to make too much light of this, but I did notice that the first Xray Truggy was 17th at the DIRT race Feb 09. I know Josh is a awesome driver. He definately did great with his XB808. Once again just trying to make it a point that maybe the truck has lost its edge a little. Mario go easy on me for making this observation. Just stating the facts.

I noticed.

He was having maintenance issues, something that seems to plague Josh from race to race. Events like this are akin to having the fastest laps/races at the worlds then your tires come off in the semi... Look at the lap times in the B-mains and the qualifiers, more objective information, but I don't have to prove anything, I know what I'm talking about, and have driven the truck...

I will be working on Josh's cars at Silver State, so look for the change in performance there.
