XRAY - Model racing cars

Hey,

I ran my new XII last weekend and was pretty satisfied with the handling etc.

But there's one issue I couldn't solve as I don't have that huge experience in this class yet.

I need a bit more steering in high speed chicanes, that means under full power/throttle. The steering in slow chicanes is almost too much/aggressive, so I decreased the steering travel ways of my transmitter from 100 to 85%, what also affected a little (very little!) bit more high speed steering - strange but true.
I used Jace tires, double pink (=35 ) at the rear and lilac (=38 ) at the front.
I treated the rear tires to 100% and the front ones to 75% with tire lubricant.

So I hope some 1:12th cracks can help me.

I got to run mine for the first time this week on low/med grip carpet and it was really good for the first time out.

OK few things I would :

Rear track wide is to small; you should have 2.5 mm maybe 3 mm spacers each side at the rear axle so track with at rear would be near max 172 mm )

Try more cambor at the front: 1.5 or 2 degrees should do the job.
I also personally don't like very soft front springs. I never run 0.18 asso. always 0.20 or even 0.22

Do you need less or more steering? Your post here says more but your comments on your setup sheet say a little less nervous in high speed chicanes.

I would widen the rear out to 172 as posted already.

Going to more camber in the front will give a lot more steering and make the car on edge even more.

You can move the tweak screws back to the rear holes on the T-plate and this will make it a little more reactive on power. Also moving the batteries to the rear will give more steering as well. Heavier on the dampner disk will take some nervousness away in quick corners/direction changes.

You might also want to try a stiffer shock spring or heavier oil for more on-power steering.
