XRAY - Model racing cars

Well, you'll need the big bore shocks. especially the rear ones because they are the long ones not available before.
and they moved stuff around on the chassis, so i don't know if you will need the new radio tray or not.
also you need the new fuel tank.
New lightweight drive shafts.

But to get the improved weight and balance, I think the new one, or buying the upgrade kit would be important.

I will start out by saying that i dont drive an xray but i do maintain one for a cousin. yes the parts dont wear like other cars and they do handle very well. I do like to keep myself up to date with your cars by ready this forum, as its the best way i can keep my cousins car driving at its peak of potential.

But from the outside looking in here in Australia even im disapointed with the new XT809. the only real change that was made is the longer chassis. All the other changes you have made are ones that the majority of racers have already made to there cars. Everyone that i know that is competative in the XT8 already run OFNA Big Bores. anyone doing some simple engineering can also run the same front camber arm.

Of all the people i know currently running an XT8 none of them are now going to update to the new car as some of them have already sold there old cars in antisipation for the totally new car that was rumored. they sold all the hopups that were needed on the old car and are now STILL needed on the new car for the average racer. With the current exchange rate why would they invest in an updated car and pay all the money for the required hopups again when they can get an RC8T or 8T 2.0 for half the price and availability. The parts support for the product here in Australia is already forcing people to jump off the xray ship, and the current exchange rate on xray parts is shooting them dead in the water. I do agree that the other cars (RC8T and 8T 2.0) do wear parts out faster, but when those parts are half the price and are readily available in the country then you really have to ask why. Australia's fastest truggy driver drives your product and even he complains that he cant get parts for your cars when he needs them.

at least 1 advantage is that your shock ball ends and retainer clips are now a direct fit to my losi and dont pop off!!!
but all the slop you guys winge about in my losi makes it a faster and more forgiving car than the xray every will be. in fact the car gets better the more the slop develops.
maybe designing some slop into your cars would remove some of the twitchiness that most club drivers struggle with in your cars

So all i am saying is that the 5 drivers at my local track that drove your products at my track have already become 3 through lack of parts support, then 2 in sold antisipation, and now none because of the price of an update.

I've been hearing this a lot. I think the truck is A LOT better than the last one.

What else would you all have liked to see change?! And more importantly....WHY?
