XRAY - Model racing cars

heres a strange one i haven't raced for months due to work and my car was fully rebuilt basically ready to go should i need to race. i took it out of the cupboard yesterday to have a look at it and the rear shock has seized. Pistons feels like it mustve doubled in size it will not move freeley at all. Now you have to take my word for it the car is fully rebuilt new oils new bearings everything. It was running smooth and just sitting in a coldish cupboard it has seized up on the one shock.

its not a problem i can swap it over when i race next but i thought it strange it has done it without me even running.

for data for the team guys i would say the piston was one race old if that and the oil new but it has been sitting for 5 weeks cheers

sounds like the pistons must be swelling up from being sat in oil

Hi ,
I was prepering my car for a race and found out that all 4 shocks are locked.
took them apart like before every race and it's the first time after 6 years of racing and evevn more just playing with RC that this had happen to me.
I use a baloons on the shocks ,so the oil is clean to perfaction,no water in the socks as we only race when it's dry and here in Israel it's almost always like that.
So maybe water is not the problem?

So what can it be?
