The battery power has no influence on the motor deceleration as far as I know. Might be there is some impact if you use drag brake, but I assume you donĀ“t use that. The reason the motor decelerates if you don't use drag brake is that it essentially will work as a dynamo and instead of using power it is actually generating electrical power itself. The braking effect will be bigger the more timing advance you run.

I think TrickPatrick hit the nail on the head with the suggestion to run no rear anti-squat. However the website is down so I could not look at your setup myself.

TP, getting rid of the anti-squat and using the middle holes worked great! Thanks! The only other change I made was to go up to a 24 pinion. I need to make a correction to the setup as the droop settings end up giving 3.5mm downtravel in the front and 3.0mm in the rear (I may have to decrease the rear). I'll be testing this setup on our other local track tomorrow.

The books I used were:

1. Engineer to win by Carroll Smith (formula one ideas) - You won't use half the book as it deals with real parts (brakes, etc.) & materials, but the second half is great for setup.
2. Chassis Engineering by Herb Adams (NASCAR/TRANSAM ideas) - The entire book is great, including a section on how to design a base setup from scratch and how to design your own chassis.

I recomend the Tekin G10 pro as well.
Team GP is where I got the idea to try really has a good holeshot advantage.

I have some thought's on the rear shock placment. When you lay the shock in you get more lateral grip, but you also soften the spring rate.
So your idea could work if you bring up the spring rate as you lean them in.
I have found personally that the white spring as opposed to the light green spring in Hudy's setup works better on my track. He mentioned this at the bottom of the sheet. But yellow when tried just washed out.
So I am thinking you should try a light green spring or even a blue with the shock back in like you were trying.
I would be interested if this gives more consistant grip or just evens it back out.

I also use the anti kick in front this helps the car not to shift weight forward. which really makes a differance in the corners.

I also use a ball diff in front and tune the diff( slowly tighter) to help break the front loose a little this balances it out with the rear and I can get the whole car neutral this way I can use same durometer tires all the way around.( you can use purple all the way around which chunk less)

I can get a sway bar effect this way without using one which seems to go to far in stiffening the front which is why Josh used a custom small sway bar.

This seems to be more consistant for the whole race as opposed to the front and rear tires changing their grip independantly through the race.

Just idle thought let us know how testing goes.
