XRAY - Model racing cars

Yeah I abused mine to see how long it took before things needed replacement. I went 8 races on the full clutch, 9 on the front rear bearing, and I bent the chassis from running to low on the 12th race. Its much more durable than most people have said it was. I pretty damn happy I cant wait til next season.

I only jumped on off-road mid season so... Overall I'm pretty damn happy.

I race my car at least once a week and get two extra days of practice in. After 11 gallons I have only replaced the front arms twice (did not break just warped), outer bearings maybe 8 total and a steering rod end.
I have bent a drive shaft and an upper camber link but they both bent back fine and have been straight ever since.
This car definitly makes me faster than I am. It is competitive with every car in the area and never DNFs.
If you have ever been to Dallas, you would know there are some tough racers here.
Incredible quality! Incredible performance without having to buy option parts.

I agree with all you have said. I will say though that this car does take a little more TLC than previous XB8's but it is so worth it! Just keeping an eye on the bearings and drive shaft pins is mainly what I'm talking about but the rest of the car is set it and forget it...lol.

Hope to see some of you guys at the RC PRO Finals. The track is going to be awesome with 15ft lanes and a straitaway that will measure out over 200ft. I will actually be trying a 17tooth clutch bell for the first time so should be fun.

From the day this buggy hit the market, I've been running the crap out of it! My racing this year included the 5 day long US Nationals race, where I beat it to death but nothing broke. I ran all season and only had a few bulkhead bearing "instant" failures, but found a fix for that and haven't had one since. This buggy is absolutely the best buggy on the market. I took home multiple expert class trophies & A-main podiums this year, finishing with 16 straight races all the way to the finish line

Other parts replaced after 14+ Gallons in my 2008 season:

1 Set of Arms
1 Set Plastic Steering Links
3 Bulkheads
1 Set of camber links
1 Chassis
1 Set chassis braces
1 Set of pin holders
1 Set of hubs
and a few bearings and minor parts here or there..

Thats not bad considering how much I run. When I ran my Losi I replaced that much every 2 months, plus 1 servo per month!

I'm very please with this buggy even with the 100% stock geometry I ran all season. Next season I start dialing it in big time with some adjustable options, and I have a feeling my next US National's results will be pretty good... Chicago IL. here I come!
