Hi Rocco! I noticed in your latest set-up sheet that you went up to 7,000 in the center which I believe gave you more on-power steering but it also gave you more acceleration power. With this change, did it not gave you more difficulty in a dusty, low traction track having more low-end power on all wheels?

But I also noticed that you changed to a 16T clutchbell from a 15T which means lesser low-end power. Were you aiming for more speed on the long straight?

I also noticed that you changed your engine. Is this the reason for your set-up changes? And lastly, you used the grey-blue springs instead of your former silver springs. May you please tell us what effects did these changes made?

I am sorry if I asked a lot of questions. Your inputs will greatly benefit other 808 owners like me. Thanks bro!

Haha, don't be sorry!!! Hopefully my response isn't too drawn out...

I wanted to try something different and more reactive/harder to drive but faster. I sat next to David Joor all weekend picking his brain and ran my ideas through him too which was cool because we were on the same page about A LOT of stuff.

I had a couple ideas that I wanted to try at the track, and worked out well. I basically made all the changes to my car to make it respond, but go through the bumps and land the jumps well, and I think I got a pretty good mix. I went up in the middle so I could get more response from throttle inputs. The C5Q's power band and 16T clutch bell also helped this because this motor is a lot easier to manage in that I had to drive it like I would an electric 4WD offroad car because this motor has more 'feel' to it instead of just ripping the throttle around the track.

As far as the suspension goes, I started thinking about it; if I could run a slightly stiffer/more progressive spring (coils farther apart) with lighter oil, I would get the right pack for landing jumps and going through bumps, but it would have more reaction and traction in corner with slightly lighter static dampening. It would have more traction because the springs would be doing more work on the arm/tire instead of the thicker oil slowing the weight transfer down. With the lighter oil, and stiffer/more progressive springs, the car responds a lot better, and the weight transfer happens quicker and more drastically in the corners which gives you more corner speed and allows you really push the car. Standing the shocks up was also a big difference. It felt like the car had more traction all the way around, and made it very easy to drive on power and even easier to drive when it was sliding on power.

After the changes, David Joor drove my car, then immediately regretted it when he put his car back on the track, haha! It was really surprising how hard I could drive it.

Rocco with my WS7 L2g an this set up my XB808, will be more easy to drive than the original set up on dusty trucks?
what does means when you wrote in the set up sheet front drop 104 and rear drop 115?
