do u guys balance buggy tires ?
i do my truggy tires all the time but never saw a need ( visually) to do buggy tires

also does the hub bolt to the rim ? the one I'm using just has a o ring and the wheel sort of just sits there. not very scientific.

Fortunately buggy wheels need very little balancing but I still balance them! Why not spend 5 minutes and have nicely balanced wheels. Its important to re-balance them also from time to time, because the balance changes. I don't know if the foam moves inside or is it because wear+dirt.

I still use airplane propeller balancer between my fingers but this type of balancer is way easier. The Hudy balancer looks nice and worth getting one!

Question: Is it a big advantage for a club level racer to balance the Buggy tires? I never did this before and a few guys in my club are laughing about this procedure for buggy tires. What are your experiences?

Regards

Benni

Do you guys really balance your weels??!

I think it's quite a waste of time to balance whith maybe 3 or 5 grams a weel that after 5 minutes has dirt sticked everywhere...

Balancing the tire is probably the best thing that you car do to your car. Driving the car becomes a dream after you do it. the cars extremely planted because the out of balance wheel will make the car feel a bit unstable just like a regular car when your wheel shaking all over the place.

The unbalance of the tire actually reacts like the ground is even bumpier than it is. The heavier side of the tire will actually bring that corner of the car up more over a flat surface.

Lowey,

Just get some sculpting puddy and apply as much or little as you need. Just push it up in the rim where needed and thats it, no glue or anything to keep it there.

Balancing does make a difference especially on the truggy tires.

Thanks mate, i'll see what i can find... Can you just use a prop balancer if you use a wheel hub and nut installed on in the rim?
