hey thanks guys for the replies. Thats got me started now.....going to have to save up some readies for a nice new 808 with BL conversion.

Its funny how we go from electric to nitro, back to electric, try nitor again, love it and then this happens.....BL starts winning races against nitro.

Im all for it, and if its cleaner (better for indoors) quieter, less noise (if its a prob) and requires less maintenance great.

It will be interesting to see XRAY bring out an 808 (E) specifically designed for BL motors/battery etc.

i started out with a Schumacher procat, then Losi XX, then got a traxxass nitro hawk, then back to the Losi, then got (for fun) tamiya lunch box, then back to the Losi, then got an RC10GT (Great by the way) and then back to the LOSI and then XRAY XB8, and ive just sold the XB8 as im wanting to go E, so all i have left is the Losi XX which i wil never ever ever sell. Its my favourite car of all time, maybe because i won more races with that car than all of them put together.

i would bet money that xray has and is testing electric power. I just hope they blow our socks off and make a chassis with a plug in battery pack.(like a dewalt drill) imagine small light batterys that you change without removing the body every 6 or 7 minutes in 5 seconds or less.

my point with 6 minute run time is using a small battery the car will weigh like 6.5 pounds. if you have to make pit stops anyway and u have a quick change battery system ( yet to be invented) then why have a huge battery in there.

jhautz what kinda brake servo is that, is the diff top plate a proto or made by you for you,& how do you setup the speed control to run real brakes running a solid pinion like can you feel the motor at all & lastly looking at your 808 will the same servo brake setup fit it? I really want real brakes on a 808 but my buddy hasnt come out with a conversion for it yet but he does sell monster products. It looks like you hard wired motor wires to the board,is that the case & has castle give you any crap for that on repairs yet? Crap edit #3 whats up with the carbon fiber around your bat tray?

Really want to know cuz I ran my other brand conversion last week & made about 8 min before the rear bulkhead blew up on its first run & no online shops world wide has them for sale.Non X-RAY=non cool ,even though it drove OK it was not an X-RAY on the track or in the hands.
