my 808 rear wishbones are warped

i didnt notice until i was stripping the car down for cleaning..if you lay them flat then one corner where it attaches to the rear hub carrier is off the floor by 2-3mm

i totally agree on the flex..but since were talking high performance and crucial setups...how can you set a car up thats got bent wishbones and twisted at one end lol

the wishbones are BENT...not just flexing

so i now have a car that is different from when it is new..so if i break a wishbone i have to replace both because the handling will be thrown off with 1 straight wishbone and 1 bent one

if they were meant to bend they would have come out of the packet like that rocco..dont play me

im not actually too bothered as its had some right abuse..just thought i would make a point so that people are aware if the break wishbone they might have to replace both...i cant afford to have my setups off 1%..i need all the help i can get!

I'm not saying they are supposed to be like that, but you cannot run a car and have them /not/ like that. I ran the soft arms on my TQ and EC but I had to replace them every race...
And yes, if you break an arm, I would replace both sides, I do the same thing in on-road, unless the difference in the life of the arms is only a couple runs.

Take a piece of flexible plastic and bend it over and over and over, and take note of where it finally breaks and how much of the original shape it retains. Same thing with the car, just smaller degree of flex and bigger piece of plastic.

Thats a bummer that you've got to take your shocks off to store it. I would have said that its happened due to heavy landings on the flat not down ramp. Not that they bend with the weight of the buggy when in a resting position as you havent had your BOB that long, plus you leave it on your starter box all the time when you aren't racing.

This happened to a couple of us. Have spaes and swap them out as you need to. They are cheap anyway.

All it is, is a thinner arm where a shock is exerting force on a different point than the wheel is, notice how the bend is most 'extreme' where the shock is mounted.
This is from running the car, that's all.

While I am glad they dont break, I have had other cars that dont break or bend.

can't they be swapped L to the R and R to the L
from time to time ??
