Final Drive Ratio for 10.5 brushless

Hi,
I had my first race today, it was really great. I have Xray 008 EU, 6 nimh cells, 10.5 brushless LRP Vector X11 250W motor and I was racing against drivers with 19 brushed motors. I have original 38T/16T pulleys, 23T pinion, 84T spur gear = FDR 8.67. I was able to fight with them on slow part of the track, but on the long straight part my maximum speed was much lower. I am sure many of you are using this motor, what pinion do you use ? Also what setup would you recommend for Nosram Matrix evo 07 esc ?

Hi There
I all depends on the size of your track but i use 5.5 overall on a open track (about 10 second laps)

What motor ? 5.5 compared to 8.67 - big difference. Can you share your pinion size ? I was at bigger track, about 17 sec a lap.

Hm, I checked my TX (Futaba megatech 3PM), throttle EPA was at 100% but I can go to 120%. Will it make any change to my maximum speed ?
